The
Treaty of Versailles
In January 1919, the
victorious Allies gathered at the palace of
Versailles, outside Paris, to work out the terms of peace. U.S.
President Woodrow Wilson, Prime Minister David Lloyd George of England
joined French leader Georges Clemenceau. They were known as the
"Big Three" of the meeting that would be called the Paris Peace
Conference. These men each came with differing goals but their
decisions would, quiet literally, have an impact on the entire world.
